Chico is a rescue Standardbred (horse) with beautiful thick long hair and a shiny coat - his unique personality, steady earth like presence and grounding energy inspired us to create something healing and useful to help both horses and humans in a holistic and natural way.

The name ‘Chicos’s Cheats’ came about after myself and my mum were sharing a laugh thinking about Chico’s very unique personality. If there was an easier way for Chico to get something done - Chico would find it.

Chico is the ultimate energy conserver yet he has a robust and deliberate way of carrying himself. He is a big horse standing at 16.3hh who often intimidates property newcomers with his huge stature - usually by approaching very intently yet quietly from behind only to loom above inducing an element of gentle surprise and intimidation.

However, the most special thing about Chico is his kind nature. The energy he brings to his herd and the humans in his life is prolific.

Life began far from easy for Chico. He was cast out of the harness racing industry for being too slow and taken to a sales yard - a place where horses are often picked up on big trucks and taken to abattoirs. Lucky for Chico, a kind hearted woman named Anna (his previous owner) scooped him up and from that point on things started to look up.

Standardbreds are an underrated breed that is used for harness racing. Like many other race horses they are often disposed of in ways that are a far cry from being fair nor humane.

Standardbreds have sweet dispositions that are well known within the equine community and we feel as equally lucky to have Chico as he may feel to have us in his life.

Drawing inspiration from Chico and integrating nature’s very own plant medicine - we decided to create all natural well-being oils for both humans and their horses.

Our oils are all sourced and blended in Australia using high quality all natural ingredients. We have made them as easy and no fuss as Chico’s preferred way of living life.
